Help us welcome Jordan Poland, Credit Union of America’s Community Engagement Specialist. Jordan brings a wealth of experience in education and organizational management but more importantly he feels a strong commitment to making a difference in the communities we serve. Most recently, Jordan served as President/CEO of the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame and has taught several subjects including history, government, and social studies in public schools. In addition to Corporate Giving and Credit Union Advocacy, Jordan's role at Credit Union of America also includes leading our employee volunteer committee and financial literacy efforts. One way that he integrated financial literacy into local classrooms is through “It’s a Money Thing.”

It's a Money Thing is designed to make learning about money fun and accessible. Through a free series of short, entertaining videos and lessons, It’s a Money Thing explores financial topics in ways that are easy to understand. From budgeting to compound interest and even debt repayment strategies, It’s a Money Thing covers essential real-world financial concepts for all grade levels. Each topic includes free curriculum, handouts, and quizzes to help students grasp these concepts effectively.

Financial literacy impacts students now more than ever.
