Credit Union of America (CUA) is pleased to announce the promotion of Nicole El-Chami to the role of Chief Operations Officer. With an impressive career spanning over 13 years at CUA, she has demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership.

Starting as a part-time teller at First Choice Credit Union (FCCU) in 2010, El-Chami’s journey within CUA has been a story of continuous growth. Shortly after CUA's merger with FCCU, El-Chami joined CUA’s Electronic Services department and served in various roles including the AVP of Payment Solutions.

From Payment Solutions, she transitioned to VP of Deposit and Support Services, where her contributions were impactful. She spurred collaboration across departments, helping to elevate the member experience. In her most recent role as VP of Member Communications, she contributed to the growth of CUA’s digital branch and implemented new digital and AI services.

El-Chami's academic achievements are equally impressive, with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Health Science from Wichita State University and an MBA from Pittsburg State University. In addition, her commitment to professional development is apparent, as she holds certifications as both an Accredited ACH Professional and Accredited Payments Risk Professional and most recently completed CUNA Management School through the University of Wisconsin.
